Portugal’s southernmost province, the Algarve, offers hundreds of kilometres of golden beaches, plenty of sunshine year-round, stunning coastline vistas, medieval Moorish villages, and smiling, friendly people.
On this relaxing holiday we stay 16 nights near one of the most
attractive resort towns in the Algarve—popular Albufeira, with
its charming old town, narrow cobblestone streets and whitewashed buildings. The lively town square is the ideal place to enjoy the cafés, people watch and shop for local handicrafts. Fisherman’s Beach (Praia dos Pescadores) is where local fishermen used to bring in their catch in the days before lbufeira had a harbour. Today the beach is an inviting scene of holiday makers strolling the golden sand, bathing in the sun and enjoying the views of the sea and surrounding cliffs.
Nestled in the heart of Albufeira, just a short stroll from Fisherman’s Beach, Vila Galé Cerro Alagoa offers the perfect blend of relaxation and excitement. Amenities of the hotel include two outdoor pools, health club featuring a sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, massage rooms, and a gym, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The standard rooms offer a comfortable and modern retreat for guests. Each room spans approximately 26 square meters and includes air conditioning, heating, a minibar, and a flat-screen LCD TV.
Following our stay in the Algarve we will travel by coach to Lisbon (with a stop in Évora en route), for a 2-night stay including a city tour and dinner at the hotel.
