Includes a harbour cruise, sightseeing city tours, and a hit Broadway show
Moderate pace with leisurely intermittent walks up to 2 hours on a variety of terrain, including cobblestones and moderate hills. Must be able to climb at least two flights of stairs, negotiate steps without railings and tolerate periods of standing during guided tours. Some days may include 3–5 km of walking over the course of the day.
We depart from pre-determined pick-up points in the Toronto and Burlington areas. After crossing the border, we travel through New York State to our overnight stopover in Albany, NY. Tonight we enjoy our Welcome Dinner.
We proceed to New York and upon arrival we begin our first city tour which will include Times Square, Central Park and much more. This afternoon we embark on a narrated scenic harbour cruise of midtown Manhattan. Our on-board guide will bring New York’s sights and fascinating history to life while we enjoy views of the world’s most famous skyline and get just a few feet away from the iconic Statue of Liberty. We will enjoy dinner at a downtown restaurant before proceeding to our hotel, the Marriott Marquis.
A full day of sightseeing in the “Big Apple”. Our guided panoramic tour will take in the major highlights such as the Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center, Soho and the famous shops of Fifth Avenue. We also see some beautiful views of the Brooklyn Bridge. We then continue to the One World Observatory of the World Trade Center and take the elevator to the top for the world- famous city views. Dinner at a local restaurant.
A day at leisure for sightseeing and shopping. Perhaps take the ferry to Staten Island, explore the artist enclave of Greenwich Village or visit one of the countless museums the city has to offer. Your Tour Manager will be happy to provide suggestions. This evening we enjoy our Farewell dinner, and then we hit Broadway and enjoy a top-run show (title to be determined closer to the date of the tour).
We cross the border back into Canada, with a stop at the Duty-Free Shop. We arrive at the Toronto / Burlington areas in the early evening.
You may cancel your tour up to 60 days prior to departure (90 days prior for tours requiring a visa, cruises or rail journeys) for any reason, and receive a full refund of your deposit / payment (less the $75 administration fee).
